In 1976, Frank Davis, Founder of Chalmere Diamonds, invited Larry Rutherford to start a wholesale business with him selling gold wedding sets and diamonds in the Rocky Mountain region.  Their firm was named DWR Diamonds.  The business served as a wholesale vendor to the retail jewelry industry.  There was high demand across the United States for investment alternatives in gold and silver. 

DWR Diamonds was instrumental in adding diamonds to that market.  Our company expanded to service corporate clients, such as investment diamond resellers, financial planners, and CPAs.  Our business later expanded to provide incentive products to companies. such as Buick Motors and others in the high-end luxury goods industry.   As a marquee company in America, we expanded our nationwide services through subsidiary operations, such as Gem Mart Consultants, American Gold and Diamond Co., and Western States Gemological Laboratory.
